I’ve had two children naturally, ran 2 marathons and dealt with a crippling illness, but I’ve never felt as weak in my life as I did while dealing with all of this. I don’t think you understand just how much it meant to me that you had my back. I know you were just doing “your job,” but I also know you were doing much more than that for me. No words can express the gratitude I have for you. I’ll be honest Bert, I was so worried and frustrated, but after I spoke with you, I felt like I could breathe, stress dissolved and I knew in your hands things would be ok. From the bottom of my heart, I really, truly and honestly thank you.

Dear Bert, Thank you for handling our case. We appreciate all you did for us. Your kindness saved us money and gave us peace of mind. I know you did a lot of extra legwork for us. The matter caused me a great deal of stress. It is hard to put your future in the hands of another. I felt that you were with us all the way. We value you and the work you did for us. We will not hesitate in referring our friends to you.

“I cannot even begin to express how much peace you have given me through your representation on my behalf. After Chris died, I was lost and the financial ramifications were overwhelming. Never having used an attorney before, I didn’t know what to expect from you or your firm. I was extremely pleased with your manner, your knowledge base, and the team approach used by your firm. I came to you for a real estate conflict and you also handled my property disputes. You and your advice saved me thousands of dollars and gave me peace of mind through the whole process. Thank you doesn’t seem to be enough, but I do thank you from the bottom of my heart. Should I ever need an attorney again, rest assured, you have my business for life!”

How to Use A/B Testing in Marketing Campaigns

A/B testing is one of the most effective ways to optimize marketing campaigns and make data-driven decisions. By comparing two versions of a campaign element—such as a webpage, email, ad, or call-to-action (CTA)—you can identify which version performs better and drives more engagement. This guide explores how to conduct successful A/B tests, interpret results, and use those insights to refine your marketing strategy.
    What is A/B Testing?

A/B testing, or split testing, is a method of comparing two variants (A and B) of a single campaign element to see which one performs better in achieving a specific goal. For example, you might test two versions of an email subject line to see which one generates more opens, or experiment with two different landing page designs to determine which converts more visitors into customers.

Each version of the element being tested is shown to a separate group within your audience, and the results are compared based on the key performance indicator (KPI) you’re measuring, such as click-through rate (CTR), conversion rate, or engagement.
Why A/B Testing is Important for Marketers

A/B testing provides several critical benefits for marketers, including:

Data-Driven Decision-Making: Instead of guessing what will work best, A/B testing allows marketers to make decisions backed by data.
Improved User Experience: By testing and optimizing elements, you create a smoother experience for your audience, which can lead to higher engagement and satisfaction.
Higher Conversion Rates: A/B testing allows you to identify the elements that resonate most with your audience, which can help boost conversion rates and maximize campaign effectiveness.
Risk Mitigation: Testing smaller changes allows you to make incremental improvements without risking the success of an entire campaign.

Steps to Conduct a Successful A/B Test
    1. Define Your Goal

The first step is to determine what you want to achieve with your A/B test. Goals should be specific and measurable, such as increasing CTR, reducing bounce rate, or boosting email sign-ups.

    For example:

Landing Page Test: Goal = Increase the number of visitors who sign up for a free trial.
Email Campaign Test: Goal = Improve open rates by experimenting with different subject lines.

    2. Choose the Element to Test

Identify the specific element of your marketing campaign that you want to test. Here are a few ideas for A/B testing across different channels:

Email Marketing from Marketing Heaven: Subject line, CTA, or sender name
Landing Pages: Headline, CTA button, form length, images
Social Media Ads: Ad copy, image or video, CTA text
Website Elements: Navigation layout, product descriptions, color schemes

Limit the number of variables you test in each experiment to isolate the effect of a single change and ensure accurate results.
    3. Create the Variants

Once you’ve identified the element to test, create two (or more) versions. Here are a few examples:

    Email Subject Line Test:
Version A: “Unlock Exclusive Deals – Don’t Miss Out!”
Version B: “Grab Your Special Offer – Limited Time Only!”

    Landing Page Test:
Version A: “Sign up for a free trial and boost your productivity!”
Version B: “Get started with a 14-day free trial today!”

It’s important to make sure that each variant is different enough to produce measurable results but not so different that the test becomes unreliable.
    4. Set a Hypothesis

Formulate a hypothesis before launching your test. This helps you stay focused and interpret your results effectively.

For instance, if you’re testing CTA buttons, your hypothesis might be, “Changing the CTA button color from blue to red will increase click-through rates because red is more attention-grabbing.”
    5. Segment and Randomize Your Audience

Randomly assign your audience into two groups, each receiving one version of the element. This randomization ensures that any differences in behavior can be attributed to the tested variable rather than audience characteristics.

For email tests, divide your list equally between versions A and B. For website or ad tests, you can use A/B testing tools (like Google Optimize, Optimizely, or Facebook’s split testing feature) that automatically randomize visitors into test groups.
    6. Run the Test

Allow the test to run for an appropriate length of time to collect statistically significant data. The time needed depends on your traffic volume, with higher traffic typically allowing for shorter test periods.
    7. Analyze the Results

Once your test has concluded, compare the results of each version to see which performed better based on your KPI. Tools like Google Analytics, HubSpot, and other A/B testing software provide data reports to help interpret the outcomes.

    For example:

Statistical Significance: If one version’s performance is significantly better than the other, you can confidently conclude that the change made a positive impact.
Unexpected Insights: Sometimes, results can provide insights you didn’t anticipate. For example, a simpler design might outperform a more visually complex one, showing that your audience prefers clarity over aesthetics.

    8. Implement the Winning Version

Once you’ve identified the best-performing version, implement it fully in your campaign. However, keep in mind that A/B testing is an ongoing process; user preferences and market trends evolve, so it’s important to continue testing and refining elements over time.
Examples of Successful A/B Tests in Marketing

Here are a few examples to illustrate how A/B testing can lead to significant improvements:

Email Subject Line Testing: A marketing team tested two email subject lines: “Get 20% Off Your Next Purchase” vs. “Special Offer Just for You!” The former generated a 15% higher open rate, leading to a more engaging email campaign.

Landing Page CTA: A business tested two CTAs on their landing page: “Get Started” and “Try It Free.” The “Try It Free” button saw a 25% higher click-through rate, demonstrating that a more specific, benefit-oriented CTA resonated better with users.

Social Media Ad Visuals: A brand tested a static image vs. a short video in a social media ad campaign. The video ad received 40% more clicks and 30% higher conversions, showing that dynamic content was more effective for engaging their audience.

    A/B Testing Best Practices
    1. Test One Variable at a Time

Testing multiple variables simultaneously can make it difficult to attribute results to a single change. To get accurate results, limit each A/B test to one specific element.
    2. Collect Sufficient Data

For reliable conclusions, allow your test to gather enough data. Small sample sizes can lead to inconclusive or misleading results. Tools like Google Optimize and Optimizely can help calculate the sample size needed for statistical significance.
    3. Avoid Major Campaign Changes During Testing

Avoid making other significant changes to your campaign while running an A/B test, as it can skew the results. Keep all other elements consistent to ensure that any variations in outcomes are solely due to the test variable.
    4. Test Regularly

A/B testing should be an ongoing strategy, not a one-time event. Regular testing allows you to adapt to shifting user preferences and continuously optimize campaigns to meet audience needs.
    5. Document Your Findings

Record your test hypotheses, results, and conclusions. This helps create a knowledge base for your team, allowing you to track patterns over time and avoid testing the same elements repeatedly.
    Tools for A/B Testing

There are several tools available to help marketers run and analyze A/B tests, including:

Google Optimize: Integrates with Google Analytics to run tests on website elements.
Optimizely: A robust platform for A/B testing across websites, mobile apps, and other digital channels.
HubSpot: Allows A/B testing for emails, landing pages, and CTAs, ideal for inbound marketers.
Facebook Ads Manager: Provides split testing for ads, helping you optimize audience targeting, ad creatives, and placements.
Mailchimp: Offers A/B testing tools for email marketing, allowing you to test subject lines, send times, and content.

    Conclusion

A/B testing is an invaluable strategy for marketers looking to refine their campaigns and achieve measurable results. By testing individual elements, making data-driven decisions, and continuously refining based on user behavior, you can create optimized marketing campaigns that resonate with your audience. Whether you’re testing email subject lines, social media ads, or website CTAs, A/B testing helps you find the winning formula for better engagement, higher conversions, and improved customer experiences.

Mr. Denton of Gunderson, Denton & Peterson, P.C. has been our corporate attorney since 1994, and due to the diversity of our business interests, we have presented him with many different challenges. In every case, Mr, Denton has provided us with exceptional advice, effective service, and superior performance. Mr. Denton seems to be the very rare attorney whose business mind is as sharp as his legal mind. I do not make major decisions about any aspect of my businesses without speaking to Mr. Denton and getting his business advice. He should probably venture into business consulting as well as being a lawyer”. “When I contacted Brad Denton I was in serious financial trouble with a piece of land that I owned. My loan was for 196k and the land was worth around 35k. My lender refused to work with me so I had no other choice but to stop paying since I could not afford the balloon payment nor their offer to refinance at some outrageous rate. So I was left to go into foreclosure.

My land was sold at auction for 35k and I was on the hook for 165k. I hired Brad to work with the lender to arrive at a fair settlement. I can only say that what Brad and his team were to accomplish was amazing. 140 days later Brad was able to get lender to settle for $0.00.

Brad took the weight of the world off my shoulders and said from the beginning let him handle this and it will be ok. Brad I can only say thank you!”

    Phenomenal Mesa Business Attorney

“Brad Denton is extremely intelligent, accommodating, timely, and personable. Every time I’ve had a legal challenge Brad is always readily available to respond and does so proficiently. Seven years ago my wife and I signed a purchase agreement for a house that went awry when the seller tried to renege. I was happy with his aggressive approach that produced instant results and secured our house purchase with no financial loss. Since then Brad has written and reviewed several business contracts with outstanding results. Another example of Brad’s legal proficiency is found in a recent lease agreement he arranged. I own a building that had been vacant for nearly 1 year and had little hope of securing an equitable contract. Not only did Brad negotiate a fair monthly rate, he also secured almost all the tenant improvement costs from the tenant; needless to say I was very pleased. His staff has also been very available and pleasant to work with. I highly recommend Brad to anyone seeking an excellent Phoenix contract attorney.”

I deeply appreciate the outstanding service and legal assistance I received from Mr. Bert Millett.

I recently had to seek legal advice concerning the selling of my home in Mesa and I was extremely pleased with the immediate attention he rendered when I sought guidance on my pending real estate transaction. I was especially impressed with his very calm, friendly and understanding demeanor and the time he took to answer all of my questions with full explanations and details.

Within the first few minutes of my visit with him, I immediately sensed his outstanding professionalism coupled with a very intelligent, helpful and positive attitude. In fact, he immediately made me feel that my problems were a priority with him and he was there to help and support me.

Mr. Millett presented me with an array of options and strategies to consider and explained the steps involved with each one. Because of his support and guidance, I was able to make an intelligent decision and resolve my real estate issues.

Additionally, I would like you to know that I appreciated his willingness to offer me his full availability and he always took his time to listen and answer me when I followed up with questions via the telephone or emails.

I truly feel honored to have met him and I know that if it wasn’t for Mr. Millett’s support and advice, I would not have made the right decisions.

I don’t know about the other guys… but Mark Egan (atty) and Debbi Mitchell (paralegal) have been great. I had to do an i601 and i212 for my wife (who is from Fiji). He told me he had only done 2 of those before (both successful). I reckon now he is 3 for 3. Most importantly, when the US consulate made a mistake in our instructions, he was right on top of it and immediately sent them a polite email requesting confirmation while citing the relevant statutes. Three days later, they acknowledged the mistake and provided new instructions. He easily saved us AT LEAST a year or more of UNNECESSARY WAITING!!! I cannot say how important it is to have a skilled and conscientious attorney. I really appreciate it.

I would like to recommend Mr. Brad Denton and his firm for your legal matters. I had a matter that I presented to him after another attorney said I should settle for a very meger amount. That amount would not even pay my legal fees. Mr. Denton believed in my case and was able to get me 5 times what the other attorney was suggesting that I take. Mr. Denton is very efficient and profession. I feel he is very honest in his dealings and is “tough as nails” when it comes to fighting for my rights. I would recommend him to anyone and am 100% happy with the care I received from his office and his staff. If it were possible I would give him 10 stars!!!

    Robert G. Bradford Review

Recently I made contact with your firm regarding a court action filed against me. I contacted Bert Millett to discuss the matter. He invited me to his office, and we had a very cordial and informative discussion. I outlined my problem, and its related issues, and asked him for his help. Mr. Millett analyzed the documents and assisted me in developing a strategy to handle the matter. I have been very impressed by his ability to listen, with both skill and compassion. His advice has been excellent, and I trust that it will prove to be of great value in the settling of this bothersom matter. He has since contacted me to follow up and to inquire about the status of the case.

There is no question that I would not hesitate to recommend both Mr. Millett, and your firm, to others. As you know, there are a great many lawyers, but in your profession, as in the retail world, customer service is often the deciding factor in selecting representation. Mr. Millett demonstrated that your firm is committed to caring for its clients, as they proceed to solve their problems.
